Dumb Question...but I need an answer.

its possible in any manual car unless there are electronics to block it or the vehicle doesnt have syncros..... so if ur dragging a cement truck dont try it.
and its called power shifting. go for it, but just know your car.
I would never power shift because I run nitrous and my limiter is setup just past my nitrous shutoff rpm to avoid me breaking anything, which is also close to where I shift. my car is just setup so I dont have much margin for error, but the big motor and heavy flywheel dont let the rpm drop while I shift, and Im back on the throttle as the clutch is coming out so it wont really affect my performance

I haven't done it at the track yet, with the expception of the 3-4 shift which is rather easy to do.
On the street with street tires I will do the 1-2 shift just to get smoke smoke from a burn out when I feel like it. With my MTs on I haven't tried yet.

yes you can do i do it at the track everytime i go from 3-4th and no problems at all and i have the same tranny if your wondering. but u should never need to do it from 1-2 or 2-3rd cause your just gonna spin the tires which as you probly know makes you slower

To spectergt...I know it can be called power shifting, but not everyone calls it that. I prefer WOT shifting [for those who haven't heard of that, no I don't actually say 'wot', rather "wide open throttle"]

powershifting you mean right? Yes you can if you don't like your car. If you miss a gear, its a pretty bad sound. Personally I never do it, not even on the track. It's your car.....
PS. the only dumb questions are the ones you already know the answer to

If you know how to do it it's okay, if you don't I certainly would not experiment with a car you car about. BTW you could be the best powershifter(WOT shifter) in the world and it will still put more stress on the car than granny shifting, speed shifting will.
On a positive note-stangs were born to be powershifted by racers and produce incredible times when done right......check this out, the car has only 299hp!

Recommend that you install a tune before doing any power shifting.
