Default C&L Intake - 17RWHP

http://www.bamachips.com/store/index...7c87bdee263049

Well, I was looking at a new tune and spotted this. $800 dollars for what would appear to be a net gain of 7 rwhp. This will be one for the higher HP cars. I was secretly hoping for more.

The delete plates are supposted to be good for 10rwhp and if this intake has them "built" in then it looks like a very small gain on a minor bolt on car. Which is what C&L did put out there from the start.

A Roush Stg3 uses their roots blower, which replaces the intake manifold completely making that C&L intake un-useable.

I think this intake is probably intended for either a centri blower, turbo setup, or a engine that has been bored over.

I removed that last part to save myself any further shame

I agree, really for heavy mod cars. With Brenspeed selling a S/C for $3700 forced induction is still the way to go.

I'd be interested to see how much more power they free up under boost.

I had high hopes for this mod, hopefully we'll see better gains than that...like in the 25rwhp range. I have full bolt ons and cams, so perhaps I can see that number. Then again, I already have CMDPs so thats ~7rwhp less right there.

I may end up with ported heads before then, but I definitely want to see better gains before I throw away $800.

I'd like to see a # with a ported head combo also.

P.S. What hood is that. Killer!
