Default Vortech V3 Si trim or Paxton Novi1200 SL

I'm looking at both Non-H.O. supercharger kits from vortech and paxton. both are complete and claim 420hp 385lb/tq for just under 3800.

Does anyone know the difference in quality, installation, reliabilty and customer service. Has there been any complaints.

this is going on an 08 GT Auto...thanks

I just installed the paxton novi 1200SL, paid $4600 for the unit, install and dyno tuned from a local mustang shop. So far I love it, it's a great unit. I'm getting 410 rwhp and 375 torque.

they're both great kits

I've had the Vortech HO kit on my car for almost 3 years now and it's been great.

I havent seen a lot of Novi 1200 kits... I would go with the Vortech V3 Kit from Brenspeed.

I don't think you can go wrong with either... the Vortech seems to be the more popular choice here on MF. A good buddy of mine runs the Paxton on his 05. He added a meth kit and is putting down around 420hp. He beats the snot out of his car and it's held up well for the past 10k miles or so he's had it on.

I got the Paxton HO kit with 440 to the wheels on a conservative tune and love it. Works great with the 4.10's.

I've got the paxton 2200 HO kit with 512rwhp and 446rwtq, and that's on the brenspeed tune, I do have ARH longtube's also though. I love this kit though, the power is amazing especially with 4.10's

How is your engine holding up with that tune. Is it done aggresively on purpose and how many pounds of boost. Im thinking of bringing my numbers up also. Did you have it verified on a dyno or was that the numbers they gave.

It was on a dyno here in town at lethal performance, I'm running right around 10lbs of boost maybe a little over, the tune I'm using is right from brenspeed, I remember seeing one of their customer cars made about 590hp with the same setup I have so thats about right with my rwhp. I've put about 5,000miles on the setup so far and have had ZERO problems, I've only taken it to the track once, but I run it weekly at the local meets. I am anticipating some sort of engine failure though, with all this power there is no way those stock rods are going to hold on for too much longer
