Price depends on the area. With the mods, just sell those seperately because mods don't usually increase the value of the car unless you find the right buyer. If you sell all of that stuff on a forum you should be able to make at least $4,000. I mean the blower alone is a good 3-4k.

Just sell all the uninstalled mods seperately on a site like this. For that matter if you are really serious about selling the car I would take it back to stock entirely. Very few people want to buy a car w/ mods on it simply b/c that screams that the car was driven hard and put away wet. As far as selling price on the car, if you could get KBB price I would be suprised. With the economy down and the new Mustang a few months out that market is not the best for a used s197.

I'm absolutely POURING over S197s on eBay & forums because I'm trying to sell my V6 to buy a GT. I can tell you that your 2006 with 25K miles will sell for $15,000 at best in the present market. The 2006 in the link below was JUST sold in a "No Reserve" auction & netted $12,000 - however it had over 50K miles... yours would do slightly better, which is why I estimate $15,000.

let me know if/when you want to sell the gears. i want them real bad. let me know.
but back on topic. i would start it at 16-19k and take your best offer. esp if you are taking all the mods off.

I just did a quick search on cars.com

i looked up 2005-2007 less than $18,000 with the keyword GT

869 hits. I did a quick scan and very few 4.0's came back so I'd reckon at least 800 were GT's under $18k with prices going under the teens

that is your competition, it's called market conditions. If you can do like the dealer on ebay and let it go for $12k, then do it. otherwise, your plans may need to change.

There are plenty of repo'd cars out there today and distresseed sellers.

I know, i bought a 95 Z28 for a project car and there was plenty of stock. If one seller thought his vehicle was worth more than I did, i moved on. overpriced vehicles ultimately either don't sell, or, the price gets dropped to reflect market conditions. In a buyers market, if a seller doesn't want to be realistic, i simply move on and don't waste my time. the seller ultimately will face reality and I don't care to convince them of that. I simply move on and buy elsewhere.

What tends to happen in a buyers market, which is what this is, you should take the offer of the first buyer. You might think your ( fill in the blank, gizmo, car etc) is worth $16,000, someone offers you $14,500 and you get mad and offended and 90 days later, you end up selling for $14,500 or less.

edit- that is why I have been consistent in my posts about "my color" and IUP, leather etc. Only buy those high profit-margin options for your own enjoyment. You don't benefit from them come resale time.

MODS are brand new - never installed. They are still in their perspective boxes. I'll be happy with 15k.....
