v6 spring on a gt???

im trying to see if i will be able to put eibach pro kit lowering springs that were purchased and used on a v6, on a gt. does anyone know if i will be able to accomplish this? ive done some research and found that there are some springs that fit both, but the eibach pro kit doesnt say this. like i said before, they are sold for a v6 and i need to know if they will fit a gt, and also if they will lower the gt as much as they do the v6. thanks.

Nope, they arent the same, the front springs are designed for the lighter front end. They would end up being softer and sit a bit lower. They should however fit. Just dont know how the ride and handling will be,

+1^^

as pheonix said, the springs are designed for specific loads (car weights) and would sit differently on each car

You can try...

The toughness of the Eibach should render you as the same as the OEM GT or better still.
I've been lowering V6s with the FRPP M-5300-K designed for the GT actually and the sixxer front end isn't higher than the GT. Even though the V6 is a bit lighter than the V8, I don't think that there is a huge difference in weight on the front wheels.

So in your case, going the other way around with better springs should be fine.
The rear springs are the same though...

v6 springs on a gt

so you guys are saying that they would fit, but they would lower the front a little bit more? will it sit lower in the rear too? thanks for all the help.

p.s. i was using a friends acount when i posted the thread, but this is the same person.

the rear sits the same, the front would sit 1/4 inch higher or so and it would cause the car to be slightly more tail happy.

none of this would be noticeable.
