Default JBA or FRPP exhaust.....Which one?

DISCLAIMER: This is not an attempt to be a "my pipes are better than your pipes" thread. I'm just intrigued by these 2 setups and I personally want to hear personal opinions and experiences. Pros and Cons. Thanks

If you HAD to choose between these 2, which one would you pick?

1. JBA 2.5" H-Pipe STAINLESS STEEL exhaust system

2. FRPP Dual Exhaust Kit

Anybody with either? Does the JBA setup drone on a V6?

I am very curious to this as well. I just put a post up in the V6 section about this. I read though all the previous posts about exhausts on V6 and I would say the FRPP is the most recomended. The problem is a few people said that it does have a small drone to it. I am also looking for a V6 exhaust that will cause no drone. Many have also recomended just going with the GT exhausts as well.

I just read an artice in Modified Mustangs magazine in which they recomended the Corsa exhause as it has no drone at all. Any advice on the drone issue for any of these exhausts would be of great help.

I chose the JBA H-pipe kit, but that was back when the FRPP kit was barely in production.

Yes, they both have drone, but it depends on the setup after the midpipes you go with.

I had GT Takeoffs and they were great for a tame but throaty exhaust note. Wanted a little more, so I bought FRPP Stingers. Yes, they drone, but it isn't ear-piercing. It can be a little annoying, and if I ever planned on going on any long long trips I would definitely switch back to some gt takeoffs. But I love the sound they make!

I "hear" the JBA quality and workmanship is superior. Any truth to this? I'm tempted to pull the trigger on the JBA setup, but will wait for more feedback.

PM phunnyguy and ask him for a clip of his car. He has an awesome sounding V6. I personally love my JBA's but Im a V8 and that does no good for you. Im sure youll be pleased with his setup. If you have a hard time getting a hold of him, let me know and Ill give him a call. Good luck.

Any input to which one of these two offers a "throatier" low pitched rumble?

I just listened to a few sound clips and although the techniques used to demonstrate the sound of these various pipes is less than desirable, the FRPP seems to have a throatier deeper sound than the JBA's. Confusing since I can't hear them in person.
