Default Water Spot Removal

What is the best water spot remover for cars with vinyl stripes? Is there anything you can put on to keep the water spots from getting on to begin with?

once water spots are etched into the clear, they're pretty much there to stay, unless you use an aggressive compound and buff the car down really good.

My car is covered wtih hard water stains, basically etched into the paint during a 106* day when my sprinkler system showered my car for just over twelve hours. I tried pretty much everything you can think of, except wet sanding. Absolutely nothing worked, no cleaners, vinegar, nothing. I started to buff the crap out and just haven't had the time or momentum to finish the job. One of the guys here recommened buying this http://www.autogeek.net/hk7424.html. I did.........it works, but I lack the drive to get to the garage to complete.

DO NOT waste your money on clay bar, especially turtle wax liquid clay. Simple green, lime away, I tried it all. Even 0000 steel wool wouldn't take the crap off the windows I wonder if i can use the buffer on the windows ?

ps: don't use a buffer on the vinyl
