I was gonna supercharge my 05 this year but think I'll wait to see the new engine options first. The 2011 stang is rumored to be getting 5.0 liter 302 as an engine with 400hp/400tq NA, then supercharge that later.

07 stang with a turbo. The 2010 Mustang is very ugly. I kind of like the GT500, but I just can not get over the *** end on it. It is so ****ing ugly and round!!! I do like the inside of them though. The GT500 interior is pretty neat.

As far as guys who road track their stangs, look at the Handling section here, there's quite a few of us. I have to go modded '07, but if it was me, I'd be doing heavy suspension modifications and a nice set of cams and a few other things to get some decent n/a power.

i disagree with you guys, and i say go for the 2010 stang
the refined interior, and refreshed body lines are a plus
also, i'm sure the rear will grow on you...
if not, you DO have endless options in the aftermarket

Many S197 members will say get the 07 S/C (most dont like the new model) and since you have the latest tech with one of the newest S/C's out there and low boost and high HP/Tq from what I have read go for the 07. Hell of a find IMO and I love the new 2010 GT and GT500 and would love to have the new GT500 but will keep my 06 with S/C for now and just keep modding!

Thanks for the advice - great discussion. I do think I need to wait and talk more with an expert now before pulling the trigger. What can I say - loved the Mustang Challenge road racing series on Discovery channel and now my mind is set on looking for a Mustang to have some fun. I did see the new Camaro race car set-up for Grand touring - but it's a shell - not the real car in my opinion. Mustang's rock!

Dealer offered to sell me a 2009 GT Premium for $27K - but for that money I like the idea of finding a gently used car instead - "gently used" yeah right - were talking muscle car here!

Cousin has a Cobra - so he says I need to hurry up for a cruise this Spring!

personally, up to me here, i would wait and order that 2010 with factory s/c. the rear end dosent impress any of us, but the interior cannot be had in ours. im guess it rattles less too and just just more comfortable all around. thats what i was going to do, wait until spring and order a 2010, but after i started reading all the autoblogs about 2011, think im just going to wait now. the wait is going to suck, but it will allow me much more time to pay off mine and have a good down payment

What's the deal on the 2011 that makes it better? "autoblogs" - new at this forum stuff - where do I read this = rookie question = but probably older than most here
