reverse goes to the 12v wire on the back up plug on the tail lamps (stick shift cars) and vss i think goes to a blue wire off the pcm under the hood. look at the avic d3 how to, it's in there.

AVIC-F700BT + my splash screen
I had the AVIC-F700BT installed about a month ago and really like it. I didn't plan on watching DVDs in the car so this model has everything I needed, although you could play DVDs with an external player using the A/V input.
Nav works great. If you turn the master volume down to soften the beep sounds, the directions voice gets a little too faint so I do have to put up with a slightly louder beep than I'd like.
Sound is much better than the Shaker1000; I upgraded my amps too which also helped.
Voice recognition is inconsistent but I don't use it and probably wouldn't even if it worked perfect.
Hands-free Bluetooth for the phone is awesome. I love having my contacts downloaded to the unit. I can keep my phone in my pocket and it synchs right up.
It does take some time for the unit to boot-up completely but the music kicks in right away so it isn't that big of a deal to wait for the rest of the stuff.
I created my splash screen in photoshop using the new 2010 'stang badge. My install looks exactly like the original poster so I won't bother with photos except that the microphone is next to the overhead center console.
Cheers!
