Default JBA's A/B On the way

Well after a 10 page need help thread, that i couldn't make up my mind and didn't wanna spend my full price on a set exhaust, i was just looking for the best price knowing ill sacrifice sound.

I found a slightly used set of JBAs on ebay and got them for 150 shipped. I don't think im really going to sacrfice sounds ither. From the few clips i was able to see they sounds real nice. The fact that not many people have them also is kind of a plus so when i show up i sound different than ever other s197

Im going to try and make a video of my stock exhaust so i can compare them to the JBAs when they come next week, so others can have a good video of how they sounds.

Welcome to the club. I have JBA's and love them. Nice and deep without any rasp. Congrats on your find.

I sometimes have a hard time understanding what drone is. If it means the exhaust is louder at cruising speed, then yes, it has drone. Not much though and I rather like the sound to be honest. There was a time when I first installed them that when I was in 5th, and added a little gas to pass someone slowly, that it was a little louder than I thought it needed to be. But even that has lessened with time.

Or I've gotten used to it.

drone is that really deep exhaust note at around 2000 rpm. Mostly noticable when just crusing like 5th gear on the high way. It sounds like you have subs in your car and is just sitting on one beat/freqeuncy untill its you speed up or slow down.

I like drone, but ive driven in a few civics that have 2 dollar fart cans and wow, it was soo bad you couldn't hear music, the car, a phone and even another cars horn. I didnt want that.

Then yes. There is some drone. Nothing so bad as to interfere with the stereo though. Just enough to let you know there is a little extra load on the throttle.

I had JBAs but sold them. I liked the mellow tone. They sound really good at WOT. I kind of miss them. I may buy a used set.

What made you get rid of them?

I replaced them with maganpacks and I needed to make space in my garage. Don't get me wrong, I love the maganpacks, but sometimes I wouldn't mind switching back to JBAs every once in while. I am especially interested in how the JBAs would sound with a Prochamber with hi-flow cats.
