Shouldnt take very long depending on the volume of cars they have at the body shop. Silver is a hard color to much but I have seen many silver colored cars come out fine and most body shops will guarantee the match and that it will stay matching.

They will try to repair the rear quarter since its a whole piece otherwise they have to cut it and weld it and bondo the seams. Front fender will be replaced (cheaper than labor to repair it). The door will either be fixed or they will replace the skin (as long as there isnt any other damage to the frame of the door which it looks like there isnt). Then they will re spray the whole side with probably some of the hood to blend it, and maybe some of the trunk.

let them know where to get those stripes too. They will put them on for you as well (usually). Also make sure they buff it right and get all the swirls out. When I did detailing at a body shop I always made sure all the swirls were out. Check for excessive dirt under the paint, fish eyes (spots of missing paint where contaminants push away the paint so it doesnt stick), runs (dripping clear coat, they can sand it out). Most places catch all that stuff but some dont.

Also make sure there wasnt anything else damaged (wheels, etc...) Usually the guy who looks over the car will spot that stuff, but make sure they know.

Good luck, let us know how it goes! Shouldnt take more than 2 weeks but maybe take a week if they arent busy!

+2...DO NOT forget about this because they probably won't say anything unless you do.

Don't take it to the dealer, please.
That quarter needs craftsmanship to be fixed without any fudge packing...
And at dealerships, all they have is fudgepackers!! So few exceptions.

It looks like a $2500 in damage depending if you will get a door skin or not.
Your pics doesn't show if it's caved in for sure.

Anyway, good time to use A.47 mirrors if you don't mind that look

Good luck my friend and remember, you choose the repair facility, they can't force you to their "preferred" shop.

I have progressive now! I got a mailer from Ford's own insurer the other day saying that they can lower my rates. I have a PERFECT driving record.

who is the best???

Progressive just raised my rates for no f'in reason. I called them to find out why they would do such a thing and they said, even though I have a PERFECT driving record, that rates "just increased" in TX. I had to lower my coverage and go with a $1k deductible to just break even. WTF????

And bodyman is right...

Who's the hell knows where your car go with progressive.
ALLSTATE, you're in no good ***ing hands!!
They have their own shops called Sterling, and stuff that comes out of there is plain nasty.
At least in Orlando...
