Factory Radio Question

Factory Radio Question
Ok, this may be a dumb question but I can't find the answer anywhere. I have my factory base model single disc radio up on ebay and a lady ask me the difference between it and her shaker 500, and if it would be interchangeable (hers has paint chips I guess). I know the shaker is a 6 disc mp3 player, but aren't the amplifiers external to the radio, if so wouldn't a base model still work as a replacement for a shaker 500 HU, or are they too different to be swapped out?

Her door midbass/subs wont work as the base model single disc player
does not have the outputs for the door speaker amps that are mounted
under the dash area. And the module configuration would also have to be
loaded form the 'as built data' for her stangs VIN # for true proper operation.
The stealership has to do this or you will get module conflict DTCs.
Its not a plug and play swap.
