Default EVAP problem, any of you ever have this? (code scanner pics included)

well, my check engine light came on this morning so i was like "wtf"...well i took the beast to autozone to get a scan and this is what is came up to be:

(its the same printout but one is color inverted for visual reasons)



do you guys know of a common problem that triggers this and what the most common solution is?

+1. Check the vacuum line to the evap solenoid (located on the driver side shock tower on V6s).

gas cap was on securely as normal....

any idea where the vac line to the evap solenoid is on a gt?...am i looking for a leak in it?

Even though the gas cap is on tight,the gas cap may still be no good.

Check the gas cap, but this can also stint from topping your gas off. I had mine into the dealer for the same issue.

hmmm well im 10k out of warranty now lol....i guess the cheapest and easiest route to take would be to replace the gas cap and wait a few days to see if it resets....

Also check all the hoses going in and out of the evap module. It is right under the spare tire well. Its the black box thing.

Wow....well 2 days ago i put fuel in the car in the morning, drove home, installed my canton overflow tank, went back to autozone to buy a radiator cap, and on the drive home i looked down and noticed that the Check Engine light was not on anymore...it turned off on its own and has been of every since so i guess it was the fuel cap lol!

I had this same code and there was a TSB 07-03-09. Turns out it was for the fuel pump which I was changing for another TSB for the hesitation. Fixed both problems.
