Default How flexible are exhaust pipes?

So when i got rear ended the other day, my right exhaust pipe was pushed far enough forward to unhook the hangers from their mounting place. I have yet to get an estimate as far as what damage has been done and what i need fixed.
is there a good chance something is bent or broken or should i just hook the hanger back up? I hate not having my car to drive to school, but i can live with a dinged up bumper for a week.

there not really "flexable" there has probably been something bent/ cracked ect. i would fire her up and check sarting under the hood at the headers and see if there leaking and then work your way back. your looking for black sooty leaks and your listening for leaks most importantly. it may sound like a tick or a hiss

Put a coat hanger through one of the hangers & tie it arround the muffler. That way they will be sure to notice it needs fixin.

they may be able to take the pipe down and tweak it back, but as mentioned above you can use a clothes hanger to tie it up in the meantime.

I would guess the axelback pipe is pushed farther into the midpipe (or visa versa) than it is supposed to go. Probably need a new midpipe and axelback pipes.
