hurst shifter?

its because of that socket ball defect it moves around which cause the rattle some have it some dont i had it bad it screamed lol but who ever dont have it its a great shifter

I have the Hurst Comp/Plus which rattled in 5th gear at highway speed (75mph+).
I sprayed the bottom of the chrome shift lever that mates to the linkage with 3 coats of Plasti Dip (rubber coating) from Ace Hardware . Worked GREAT ! The rattle was from between the shift lever and linkage where it mounts with the two screws to the linkage . This is the third Mustang I've added a Hurst to and love them !

i have the billet. it rattled, then i put rubber caps on the shift stops. and so it goes happily ever after!
