Need confirmation with Duals!

I just got a GT bumper installed which looks great but really odd since I only got one muffler haha. I need help on where to buy the parts for the cheapest.
Well I am going to order the FRPP version of the Borla Stingers. They are expensive but I think worth it for the closest to V8 sound IMO. First, is this the cheapest anyone has seen for them new? http://www.blueovalindustries.com/pr...p?pid=99012444
Second, need an X or H pipe...
http://www.blueovalindustries.com/pr...p?pid=99013254
Third, can I use my previous passenger side mid-pipe and buy just the drivers side?
Driver side, http://www.rpmoutlet.com/05gtmgp.htm
Lastly, I need hangers?
http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...s-hangers.html
Im not sure if that includes the hangers I need but thats why im asking!
I just need to keep it reasonable and if I can do it cheaper ($ wise), it would help!
This adds up to 650ish uninstalled
Thanks !

if i remember correctly, v6's have a 'y' mid-pipe, so the exhaust essentially goes from two tubes from the engine into one tube back to the mufflers. so, you will have to get either an x- or an h-pipe; you won't be able to re-use your stock one. also, you will most likely need the exhaust hangers, and american muscle is a great place to buy from.

just fyi, you may want to check these kits out:
pypes dual conversion: http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...l-catback.html
and ford racing's performance kit: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=10070

the pypes kit goes for around 400 bucks, but you get pretty much everything you need. the ford racing ones goes for just over 1,000, but you get a cai, tune, the 'bullitt' mufflers, and all the other parts; so overall, you are getting a bunch more stuff with it.

You will have to cut the Y to fit either your X or H pipe in, but can re-use your passenger side mid pipe and buy the Ford driver side mid pipe. Use the band clamps that have the step up from 2.25" to 2.5" because once you cut out the Y to fit your X or H the pipes from your exhaust manifold on the V6 are only 2.25". You will need to order a pair of muffler hangers for the driver side because the mufflers won't come with the hangers but they will bolt right into place.

If you don't care to cut your Y-pipe, you can go with the dual conversion kit from Ninosport. Just remove the old one and throw that one on and you're set. It probably won't sound as good as say an H-pipe would but, it achieves the awesome look of duals which is all I really wanted...

Here it is, plus it even comes with hangers so it takes care of that as well.

If you don't want to spend the extra cash for the Intake and whathave you, there's the Ford V-6 Dual Exhaust kit. I don't know anything about the retailer, just somewhere I'd seen it. Of course, that comes with (I believe) the stock GT mufflers, rather than the aftermarket ones you're looking for. It's $600, but is a full dual system and should require a minimum of custom work.

ive got a full cat back system sitting here if you want it let me know how much you wanna spend. PM me. thats the full length intermediate pipes and axelbacks with rolled crome tips (apperance upgrade for GT)

07musclemustang 01-31-2009 06:32 PM

all you would need is an intermediate pipe x or H i would reccomed an h with the oem setup. with cats is perfered but you can always get the removeable cats from pypes

thanks, just really want to stick with the stingers. But I will take everything into consideration. Also thanks for the advice!

07musclemustang 01-31-2009 11:21 PM

if you buy the stingers it will work but you need an intermediate pipe plus a mid pipe.
for stingers IMO i would go with pypes catted/ non catted x pipe (run cats DD and swap them out to no cats as you feel like it) cost about 300 bucks... and intermediate pipes about 200 ish plus/minus a shop shoul be able to make these for you (insure they are mandrel bent for optimal flow, as is oem) and then add your stingers. I would get pypes mid mufs but i am biased

Ok this is a V6 so keep your cats on...PLEASE. If you want the stingers, but still need an X/H pipe and midpipes check out the JBA kit. It comes with H pipe, midpipes, hangers, everything needed for install. I believe Pypes also makes an X pipe kit.
