Back in 05 I had the same decision to make without the benefit of a company truck.
My kids are now 10 and 18.
My son loves the car and all the mods we have done to it since new.
We work hard for the family so a little expense on yourself is warranted.
As long as the family is taken care of first.
The whole family likes the car my daughter calls it the race car as we take it the the road courses near by.
Now that my son drives the car from time to time with me it is a special feeling you get. He might get to go on a course with me this year.

We have 3 vehicles as well I kept the 4x4 for work and play.
Sometimes the wife's CUV is not big enough for lake weekends and skiing.
So did not regret it at all getting the stang we have special cd's that are only played in it on Sunday ice cream runs
Both kids are fighting over who will get the car as it is definitely staying with us for the long term.

If you can afford it do it you will be surprised who comes out to detail the car with you in the drive way!
