BBK Shorty Headers Installed (Vids)

That sounds great! What kind of mufflers? I have the coated BBK shorties with the X pipe and Mac mufflers and the sound is amazing. I get so many people saying how it great it sounds. I have the cams in now with a dyno tune and its sounding better that ever. I have buddies with l/t headers and I think mine sounds better. Its something about the tuned headers with that exhaust pulse. Its took my install @ 4 or 5 hours. I forget the guy on here who said it took him and two others an hour and a half to install long tubes. I called BULL**** on that one. Anyhow it sounds great.
I haven't gotten my tunes updated for the shorties yet, but I probably will soon.
Yeah, it might take an hour and a half to just put the LT's on and tighten them, but there's no way that is the total time for all that an installation entails.

damn 5 hours, i wish i had a lift LOL mine took 12 with jackstands and headers that needed a little coaxing.
btw i noticed my magnaflow catted x puts the drivers side o2 sensor right up against the heat shield. i'll be climbing back under the car to cut a piece of the shield away

i just spoke with doug at bamachips, he told me updated tunes aren't needed for shorties or x pipes unless you use an offroad mid pipe in which case you would need the tune to turn off the rear o2 sensors.
now if you didnt have an aftermarket tune at all, i'd highly recommend one because they are fantastic all by themselves.

I didn't think I would need a new tune. I was going to email Brent at Brenspeed to see what he thought.
I was driving to lunch today with the windows down, and I was thinking how nice it is to be able to hear the car breathe properly instead of cough and choke and vibrate everything. Revving beside a guard rail or under an overpass is sweetness!

No, TCS was off. It was freezing cold, and my tires didn't grab, so I shifted to 2nd thinking it would hook while the clutch was depressed, but it didn't, so I went to third gear and hobbled down the road. hehe
The sound didn't come through so well on the drive-by vid. I really need a video camera.
