ok im not sure if this is the right section, but i figured someone will be able to help me with all the shorty header installs that have been posted lately

ok i have just put on bbk shorty headers and i am not getting an check engine light. i got my sct tuner out and checked it and it said the code is . . .

P0443, Evaporative emission system purge control valve ckt


any help would be great thanks in advance

Have you tried using the SCT to clear the codes? Then you can run the car again and see if they come back...

yeah i did that a couple times and i also disconnected the battery, it keeps coming back i cant for the life of me figure out why im getting it

thanks for the help steve o chap but i fixed it it was my own dumb fault. i had knocked a hose lose, and did not see it till took a closer look in my engine bay

hah thanks . . and it was not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, dont get me wrong still a pain in the butt but i did the whole thing with jackstand and a floor jack by my self . . it would have gone alot more smooth is i had a second set of hands . . only took me two days * working off and on * if you set all day aside you would be able to get it done . . . one thing tho remove the battery and intake, it makes so much more room to get the top header bolts
