05-06 differences only amount to option packaging.

07 has different coolant routing from the intake manifold and different valve covers(1 or 2 less bolts holding them down). Again, option packages change, and color changes.

No TPMS

Also, I've read 07+ GT chassis was built to be able to take the 5.4L GT500 engine as well.

Hes right, thats pretty much it. The 05-06 dont have TPMS but on the bright side they weigh around 60lbs less than 07+

05 and 06 5 speeds come with 3.55 gears stock

Some differences on the intakes also. 2005's had a silly honeycomb tube in the intake. Most have been removed.
