Default staggered wheels/tires setup ???

what are pros/cons of the staggered setup?

PROS:
1) helps with drag racing
2) looks cool/mean
...

CONS:
1) no tires rotation
2) bad in rain/snow
...

anyone care to add to the list?

I agonized over that issue for 4 months back in mid 06'. Finally I went with my current set up, and love it. The tires have about 19 thousand miles on them and still look new.

I have staggered 9x18 non deep dish front wheels which will accommodate most of the standard 14" 2 peice 4 piston big brake upgrades and have the nitto 555 255/45/18 high performance summer tires, and 10x18 rear deep dish wheels which have the nitto 555 285/40/18's in the rear. That is a 27" diameter height which I also like a lot.

63 degree days and above, warmed up, those rears can take my 470 or so rwhp in 2nd gear up all day and not break traction. 1st gear is obviously feathered. Erik

wider tire in rear = better traction in dry and wet weather so i dont think that is a con

I haven't had any problems with not being able to rotate and that's having a staggered setup for 30k miles. Just gotta make sure you keep them balanced and keep a good alignment.

+1 on big wheels in the back looking mean!
