They give a schedule for the autos in the service manual but not for the manuals....what's the deal?

Because its not as crucial to change it on a manual. But most of us obsessive compulsive people have to change it anyways because that just doesn't make sense.

I changed mine at 55k miles with Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF. I drained it and used a long hose with a funnel run to the engine compartment and filled it back up with a little over 3 quarts of ATF.

Well I was having some shifting problems so I changed mine out with Royal Purple at 20K miles and the stock fluid was pretty dark. I will most likely continue to do it at that interval just for peace of mind.

But I am probably harder on my trans than others due to the FI. Fluid is much cheaper than damage so I will ere on the side of caution.
