seems like mpaint99 would be someone to listen to since he has both t/c and Drive shaft..

I'm confused about the statement that you have to upgrade your brakes with the stall though? The whole point of the T/C is you aren't getting any power to your tires till after you reach the end of the stall.. so 3000 stall keep it below that and you wont see any tire spin..

How wide are the DR you are getting? future upgrade path?

if you are planning on getting a twinscrew s/c at somepoint (like saleen, whipple) You can be at max boost at 2,000 rpm and the stock converter will do just fine.. you wont even want to get it up to 3,000rpm anyway or you'll just be peeling out..
if you are getting like a vortech or turbo or something that doesn't build boost till late then a t/c will definetly help for then. D/S is definetly going on my car before a T/C..

I also do a lot more street driving than track time though so im thinking i might never get a torque converter

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the Driveshaft myself. However, the more I think about it, I'm like why spend $700 on a driveshaft, when I should save that money towards F/I!

1-piece aluminum DS all the way. I can't speak on the converter since my car's a stick shift. I noticed the tach swings more freely at WOT going from say, 2nd to 3rd. No downside at all that I can see/hear/feel. I have Eibach Pro springs, no method to adjust pinion angle and have no clearance issues. The DS I have is either 3.5" or 4" in diameter. It's a beastly thing compared to the stock piece
