yeah buy new mufflers... non flowmasters..
its a relatively common problem.. that being said ive heard of it 3 times
if hes gonna cut open the muff and reweld. DO THEM ALL
and then hopefully it should never happen again.
Im supprised a reputable company has issues with crap welds. i thought it would have been robotic
anyways if you love em and its cheaper fix it if not upgrade to mid muffs

I have heard that this is a common problem with Flowmasters. I haven't had that problem yet and I have had mine for over two years. If you just bought them, they are still under warranty. Have them replace under the warranty.

I have heard of that problem many times with Flows, but strangely enough....just on the S197.

Get some super 44's. Those are the best sounding flows on the S197.

For what it's worth, I thought I had the same thing, until I took off my stock H-pipe. The catalyst had been blown out and was rattling around in the mufflers. I suggest you have them take the H-pipe off first, and take a quick look inside. If you catch the same problem I had, you might save yourself from blowing your engine.

Yeah, but you're missing my point. It might not be one of the baffles rattling around in there, it might be a chunk of catalyst that traveled downstream and is caught in your muffler. If that's the case, you need to get your cat(s) replaced ASAP!
