Default Horn relocate for GT500 Front end suggestion?

Well, I'm prepping the car to go to the painter next week. I decided it would be smart to move and reattach the horns now before the new front end is on and I have to lean on fresh paint to move it. Did anyone make some sort of new bracket for them, or did you just use the same one?

Would any of you who did the conversion mind taking a few pics so I could see how you relocated them? I'd rather just figure out a good place to move them to now verses putting them someplace and realize I caused a problem and have to move them again.

I'm heading down to parents house tomorrow (where they let me store it every winter) to pull the vinyl stripes, rear spoiler, third brake light and fake gas cap off, then the front and back end when I get it to the shop.

05 Mustang, Pascal, Cutter....sure could use some of your excellent advice since you've all been so helpful thus far.

Other question I have is I read (and have performed) the front end removal numerous times now, so I can pretty much do it in my sleep. How about the rear bumper removal? Anyone who changed theirs out remember how to do it? I crawled underneath the other day and looked around and it seemed like there were around 6 or 7 bolts to loosen and pull it off, but figured I'd run it by the experts to be sure there wasnt something else to it that I've not realized yet.

Thanks much guys.

Hey Andretti, glad to see your conversion is finally moving forward!

Off topic, but looks like I'll be figuring out how to pull the front fascia as I just found out it needs to be removed for my SC install

what color is your radiator? if its black then i wouldnt worry about moving the horns. However if like me, your radiator is silver then you probably want to move them, because the black horns will stand out alot. I just zip tied them behind the headlight. I did this after my front fascia was back on.

I did not relocate mine either since you can not see them on mine. Andretti, when you take off your grill just look at them and see "if" they will need to be moved or not. You can hold up your new grill over them and see if its going to be a problem or not. I know Mellowyellow relocated his.

On your rear bumper there are some nuts you will have to get to from inside of your trunk. I did not take mine of the body shop did it for me but I watch them go into the trunk.
