I have the Scott Drake Oil Dip Stick (pull). Been told it would fit both GT and V6. However, I noticed there is a hole for a pin in the SD one. When I pulled the stick out of my 2005 V6, it appears to be fused/glued to the yellow pull - could not simply detach it. So...

I know the part numbers for the OEM dip sticks... V6 is 5r3z6750aa and GT is 4r3z6750aa
What is the difference? Length? Measure line? Does the GT take more oil than the V6?
GT has a pin and the V6 is fused to the handle?
Am I better off getting the V6 and cutting off (dremmel) the handle and attaching it to the SD pull, making sure to maintain exact length? Or can I simply order the GT and replace the pin and add the SD pull? Seems if they make different parts, the GT would not be a good option for the V6. Please help!

I only have one answer to your questions which is about GT taking more oil than the V6. GT uses 6 quarts of oil so I don't think the dipstick from the GT will work.
