Just traded in the old 2003 V6 for for a 2005 Black GT Convertible. I have not seen any convertibles with any type of stripe kit, which I would really like to have. I would like someone elses opinion about which stripe kit and what color would look good on a black convertible. Thanks for any thoughts.

I've seen a GT with ICAP that had red stripes that matched the interior, but I didn't care much for it. I've seen white stripes and silver stripes, both looked OK but personally I don't think the black lends itself as well to racing stripes as some of the other colors. Have a look through the photo album on this site, there are a lot of customized '05's, it might give you some ideas.

I tend to agree with Tres on this one. I haven't convinced myself that I like the stripes on the dark colors, like black and sonic blue. That's why I haven't put any on mine. They look awesome on the lighter colors, for sure.

Yup, Tres pretty much pegged it right on the head with his post.

What color is your interior? If it is red, I would do red stripes. If it is charcoal, I think I would go with silver or perhaps a dark gray stripe. If it is parchment, I think I would skip the stripes.

Just my opinion ( since apparently I have to put that in bold now every time I post my opinion on something to keep from twisting LIVNBIGs panties up )
