Brenspeed: $379 free shipping
only supports mods that you purchase from them
tunes don't seem to be quite as taylored
generally recognized for more top end

Bamachips: $399 w/at least $10 shipping
supports all mods
tunes extremely taylored
generally recognized for better low end
in my home state(faster delivery, I like local businesses)

I had pretty much decided on bamachips but I'm having trouble justifying an extra ~10% to keep my business local. If anybody has run both or just had an outstanding experience with either please chime in.
Call Bama and ask him to knock a few bucks off.

I've got Tillman Tunes and am very happy with it. Chris Rose is a good guy to deal with and very quick to respond to any questions I've had over the phone or email.

I have both Bama Race and Brenspeed 93 oct tunes on my manual GT. I prefer the Brenspeed tune, but I enjoy them both. They are different from each other and I tend to switch back and forth between them.

Yet another reason I was thinking of going w/ Bama he's only about 3.5 hrs from me if I should ever decide to go FI

That's what I was thinking of doing, if he'll match Brenspeed we've got a winner

Not trying to bash bamachips but I have had there tunes for a while and my car recently has started acting up and I think my tune is bad. It may not be the tune but im just throwing it out there.

Could you elaborate a little on the differences? I'm just curious...

Anyway, I have Bama's tunes and love them. I have the 87 performance, 93 torque, & 93 race. I use the 93 race as my daily driver, but have tried 93 torque a couple of times. Last year I took a trip to Chicago which ended up being a ~1000 mile round trip. I used the 87 performance tune and averaged 26.6 MPG for the trip (obviously lots of interstate driving).
