I sent them an email asking what was up with the emblems just for kicks and here's the response.

Thank you for your interest into the Mustang GT 500. You are right the Cobra is on backwards maybe it is like having a double stamped coin it makes it more valuable. I think they replaced the Cobra with the wrong one. This vehicle is still available if you would like to come by and take a look.

Good news is that the VIN checks out as an authentic Shelby GT500. But the factory doesn't usually install badging backwards, or forget to install it completely. Definitely check carfax on this one, something is fishy.

Edit: Upon looking down further, it looks like it was a fleet vehicle (Rented out?) and then was auctioned off 19 days later...Listed as on the dealer lot 16 days after the auction.
Also: "The Cobra Badge was missing and it was replaced with one facong backwards. Would you like to come by and check it out?"
Still waiting to see if he explains why the front one is still missing ("Is this normal and people add them on after buying them?").
