Default Two Step and SCT X3

On SCT's website they list "Two Step On/Off RPM" as a feature but in the user manual(downloaded from their website) It does not mention anything about it. Now, is enabling Two Step on our cars really as simple as turning it on and setting what RPM you want? It sounds too good to be true... Can someone please clarify or provide more detail?

I read something about this when I got my tuner also. But it said something about only being for last gen mustangs. I don't remeber exactly where I read that but its somewhere in the manual or on their site.

My local shop Supertune claims to be able to do this but I don't really know how this even works or what it does

Two step lets you set a "Rev limit" for launch. So for instance you can set it to 3500 rpm and you can push the cluch pedal in and floor the gas pedal and it will only rev to 3500 rpm's. It's so you can get consistant launches. I've heard the Scooby guys call it a studder box. My girlfriends sister has 2-step on her evo, it's pretty convenient.

*edit* once you're in geat the rev limiter goes to normal. It's just a temporary rev limiter for launch.

Seth at Brenspeed informed me that this option does not work on the '05+ mustangs but it does work on the 99-04 Mustangs... Damn... oh well.
