I'm mild and hitting close to 400, if I had an aggressive cam and 11:1 you'd be looking at 450 easy IMO

sooo..i get 315 at the crank right now stock..your tellin me that id spend 10k in bolt-ons and still wouldnt top 400hp? ?

UDP
CMCP
CAI
COPs
Full exhaust (Headers, midpipe and axleback)
throttle body
DS (gains HP)
water pump
nitrous (borderline IMO)

Cams, Heads, stoker kit are not bolt ons. That is serious engine work.

And you will not get 500 HP from the 281 ci size, that is a whole different debate already discussed in yesterdays thread.

Agree with most here. I don't see getting 530 with "bolt ons" (although, as others have mentioned, I also don't consider heads and cams to be bolt ons) even at the crank.

I am very interested to hear about this race though. Is your friend a 5speed or auto?

I mentioned non-bolt on parts because I was reading too fast and I thought he wanted N/A car maxed out but it sounds like he doesn't

How is Nitrous a Bolt on when Heads aren't? Direct Port Nitrous requires replacing or modifying the heads. I guess that's what you mean by 'borderline'.

alot depends on whether or not you were able to get one of the earliest '05s that had not been detuned yet. i got mine in october of 04. with a CAI, full exhaust, udp, and a steeda tune, i dyno'd at 315hp/333tq (the sheet is in my pics) <QUOTE>

I'm another that would like to know about these early '05s not yet being detuned. Probably one of those, "Oh yeah, my friend has a brother who knows this guy how has a friend that works down at a Ford dealership who know this guy with a dyno in his garage who ate lunch with this guy who use to work at Ford when the S-197s first come out who said...."
