Default Couple questions for a DD stang.

My friends parents have a slightly older cobra with UDPs on it, and he says after 4-5 cranks it wont start unless your driving it for like an hour to recharge the battery. Well my work is about 8 minutes from my house, but school is 45 miles. Is it a bad idea to get UDPs considering in summer ill be making 5-10 minute trips alot?

Also where can i get some info on electric h2o pumps? Mainly looking at pros/cons.

Also what are the cons of an aluminum drive shaft? Ive heard it will get more power to the wheels and make for a smooth ride, which both sound great, but theres gotta be a downfall right? price?

Just trying to get some ideas here, a friend at work has a blown 5.3 in his truck, so i gotta get a bit more power before i see him on the street one day.
And by a bit, i mean alot, his SC'd 5.3 will eat me for sure unless i get some mods going and lots of them

his battery is **** and needs replacing in a normal car a UDP will never have any measurable effect.

There are no cons, the prius has an electric water pump, Ford mainly did it's easy to see to save money and maybe to reduce the number of parts that can break down, electric water pumps are much more efficient but not necessarily worth their high cost as there are better mods to do first ie a tune and cams.

Actually there are no downfalls, this is a great mod, you should do it first, you'll probably enjoy it a lot, it's like adding 20 hp.

welp good luck brother.

So far im really leaning towards CAI, Tune, UDPs, exhaust and a new Drive shaft. So if i understand right, none of these mods will really chance my economy noticeably. Plusive heard the drive shaft will make a smoother ride?

I've been daily driving my Mustang for over a year now with a UDP without any problems. You'll be fine.
