Default End to "window roll up with remote" debate

I recently took my GT into the dealership to get the mod changed so I can use my remote to roll up the window's or roll them down. The tech pulled my VIN and showed me on the comp. that Ford stopped the mod Jan 1 05 and my car was built Jan 28 05. So that's that.

Not happening dude! My car was delivered to me on February 18. I had it fixed to allow that window thing a few weeks later. Took the computer guy at Ford less than ten minutes. Either he knows his stuff, which I think he did. Or, Ford did terminate that thing, and a competent Ford guy can still make it happen if he is willing! You need a new Guy!!!

Was your car built before Jan 1? I will definately take it to another dealer but I did see the tech page from Ford that said they discontinued that Mod in Jan.

Mine works and I don't have the anti-theft upgrade or anything like that. Hell I don't even have the Shaker or the IUP. So I think it has to do with the build date.

My build date ( according to the VIN ) is 01/18/05 and the option worked from the factory.

Got my GT w/active anti-theft in March. Got the "windows down" feature activated before I even took delivery (thanks to the posts here). It took maybe all of 10 minutes for the tech to do it.
