I get drone right now when I drive between 65-75mph in 5th gear so it forces me to speed lol Or drop to 4th and waste gas. I'm finally considering getting gears so that I move to a higher RPM to get away from the drone lol

That's a good way to rationalize the gears haha. The only thing pushing me away from the gears is that if I get a turbo, 4.10’s will be way too much and I will have to re-install a lower gear. This will mean I will have to pay labor, oil blab la twice just to go back to a lower gear. So, that money is just better spent saving for the big one? Other mods like a CAI, I can actually sell and get a lil back for so it wasn’t that big of a waste.

Or you could just always start in 2nd when you get the turbo ;-)

i have 4.10's and think i'm sticking with them if i get a turbo down the line. i have 295/45/18 tires on the rear so i think my actual gearing is like 3.9 or so??
