Question BoostBrothers Headers on the way, questions

Ok, so most of you have seen that a few of us here ordered the BoostBrothers headers. They told me they were going to ship Monday (tomorrow) and I have a few questions.

I did order Stage 8 header bolts, and most of you said to use the stock gasket, no real question there.

Do I need 02 sensor extensions? I figured if I did, I'd only need 2, but Mark from BoostBrothers told me to get 4 but they are not necessary. If I don't get them, does the install shop splice them? Worth the $50 a pair?

Should I go ahead and get the motor mounts? I really think I should, but sheesh this stuff is getting expensive. $150 for two hunks of metal seem kinda high. If I didn't go with them, I'm guessing I would rub something...anyone have experience, and is it that big of a deal?

Is the o/r H gunna sound like *** with the flowmaster a/t's?

The shop quoted me $500, but I never mentioned anything about the motor mounts. You think they are going to lift the motor regardless, and possibly slap the mounts in for little to nothing? Or do most "professional" places get away without lifting it up?

Will my stock manifolds/hpipe/cats be worth selling? Or should I keep them?

A. I did my own headers and did not get new motor mounts.

B. Your shop is going to have to lift the motor.

C. O2 extensions can easily be made with some wire and crimpers.

D. Havent heard that exhaust combo but the deepness or the OR H should compliment your flows nicely.

E. I think the quote they gave you is about average. It too me 22 hrs over a week after work to do my car. It was a pain in the *** doin it on jack stands. Even guys with the lift said it was no fun. I learned as I did it since this was my first header install.....Yes someone would have to pay me $500 to do it again. lol

So did you have problems with the stock motor mounts? Rubbing going on?

So did you put your tune/intake on at the same time as the LT's, or did the LT's come later? If so, would you say you felt more overal power gain from the LT's after the tune/intake was installed, or did the most power come from just the tune/intake (sounds confusing i hope you understand what im saying)

Thanks for your input.

based off header design some of the aftermarket LT's can rub so you get different motor mounts

The stock motor mounts are rubber, allowing more motor movement. The billet ones are, well, billet, and pretty much keep the motor intact. This will keep the pipes from rubbing up against other things, however, gives a rougher ride since the motor has no give.

An article about what? LT's in general rubbing, or they did a bit on BoostBrothers?
