id liek to start another thread on this but im not sure cause i'd like to contain it to this but i think im headed towards the intake because the headers i can probably get later on at that price.

now i guess the question is once i get the steeda intake and the tuner.. do i go witha brenspeed tune? or a bamachips tune?

Youll need a tuner for both. The intake is a good deal, so get that and tuner later. This way when you do the LT's later, which usually cost more than a tuner anyways, and the install aint cheap either, youll have the recal capabilities so you wont run codes.

I would say Bama, and that's because that's what I use and I love it. I've never used Brenspeed, but a tune from either place is going to be great.

There are some different options you have. If you plan on buying the tuner from either place along with the tunes, then this is what you could get:
- X-Cal 3 with three tunes - $399.00 @ BamaChips
- X-Cal 3 with one tune - $379.00 @ Brenspeed

If you find a deal on a tuner somewhere and need to just get the tunes, then this is what you could get:
- Single Custom Tune - $50 @ BamaChips
- Single Custom Tune - $75 @ Brenspeed
- Three Custom Tunes - $115 @ BamaChips
- Three Custom Tunes - $125 @ Brenspeed

The tunes I have from BamaChips are: 87 performance, 93 torque, 93 race

Thanks ohiostate.. that definitely helps. I'd like a bit of a selection between tunes because i drive my car everyday about 75 miles so i'd like a tune for daily driving and maybe one for the weekends to have fun with lol.
and it seems bamachips will give me 3 for 20 dollars more

Technically, yeah, I guess you're right. I read this, as quoted from their website, "The Brenspeed Custom Tuned X3 includes one custom naturally aspirated tune (not nitrous/turbo/supercharger) developed for your Mustang and then that tune modified for 3 various octane fuels."

When I read that, my take on it was you get one tune that can be used with different octane fuels depending on the performance you desire. With BamaChips, you can select three tunes that are not only made for different octane fuels, but a different driving style. For example, you can get a 91 torque tune that focuses on the 1500-3500 RPM band, or a 91 performance tune that focuses on the 3000 RPM and up band. On top of that, you could get a 91 race tune that, from my understanding, is somewhat of a hybrid of the torque & performance tune with an even more responsive throttle. All of those are available in either 91 or 93 octane tunes, and there's also an 87 performance tune available
.

I'm in no way trying to say one is better than the other, just simply explaining my reason for putting 1 tune next to Brenspeed.
Again, I've never used Brenspeed, so if I'm making a wrong assumption based on the info provided on their website, correct me.
