You should notice a gain for sure due to the reduction in rotating mass compared to the stock piece. For the money, I'd do it.

If you were doing this swap, what would you do? I am also installing duals. Should I do the shaft before I install the duals? Probably make it easier to get to the bolts?

I have heard some people say it needs to be rebalanced after installation, is this true?

Great price, half the weight, less rotating mass, quicker response... do it. I believe they were tested at 600HP. I got mine a couple years ago, it might be more. The balancing, if needed, has to be done before install, off the car. They come balanced from the manufacturer but after 3 years use you never know. Did the previous owner complain of vibration?

IDK, I'd guess it was 475-500 area,it was a GT500 pullied and tuned

index it first and rotate it 180* solves the issue most of the time, also the pinion angle should be checked and be ~-2*

IM PISSED!!! I was going to go pick it up (Its in Austin im in Houston) today after work but he sold it :-( . *** my life,Im itching to buy something!! I really want to just get s s/c or turbo then

You'll pay just a tad more for that s/c or turbo vs. the spydershaft.

You could always go to China and sell a kidney or something though.
