I use 255/50/R17 Nitto NT555s for my track tires. Cheapest 255 width tire that's halfway decent and "light."

I would stick with a more popular name... like Nitto. You're gonna love the hook-up of a decent tire! It WILL make you're car faster (as if it isn't already from the looks of your sig!!!)

Of course if I could go back and re-do this I would have bought 275s for the track (road race).

You've saved the day dan. If you can afford those nitto tires they will work much better than the General Grabbers. I've also quickly confirmed that 275s would work out if the stock rim is 8.5", and they are spot on for the horsepower you should be putting down.

Well I have no intentions on moving up to 18 inch rims. I can't see how any UHP tire is going to perform worse than the all season pirellis as far as traction is concerned, even if they are designed for a truck. Not sure what you mean about the dodge charger not coming with $78 pirellis. I know they don't, they come with a $139 tire according to tirerack, still all season though. We only have one season in Florida.

To the comment about still having the stock tires. That's an easy one to answer. The tires technically only have about 22,000 miles on them because I ran drag radials for 3,000. I'm also not a teenage kid that has to show his *** everywhere I go.

That and the Pirellis are hard as a rock!

The Nittos look good and are only a few dollars more for the same 255/50/17's. Interestingly enough, they have the same load rating as the sport truck tires.
