Default Tires with white writing

I have a 06 GT vert and want to put new tires on my stock 17" rims -
does anybody know if there's a tire on the market that will fit these rims that has white writing on it - I want that retro look for my car.

No, there is not and penciling in the little letters on 17 inch tires looks goofy to me.

I know what your thinking..
...like raised white BF Goodrich Radial TA on Cragar rims.

It's not gonna look right on the S197.

I too have thought about the raised white lettering, but agree, just doesn't look right. I'm sticking with the tall tire wall to keep the retro look rather than those that have gone 18" or 20". Here are a few examples...

Search for tires in your size and look for "raised white letter tires".

Raised white letters are a thing of the past. What I really hate is that raised black wall look. You put a little tire sheen on and sprays everywhere are you roll them a mile or two.

Who the h3ll is responsible for tire styling? He/she needs a good butt kickin'
Here are some sweet raised white letters on my old 68' Camaro.

I began a thread a few weks ago on this. It appears we're stuck with using the white marker. You might be able to find an off-brand with RWL's or RWOL's but it's tougher the smaller you go in sidewall height. I'd love to try to fit a 16" wheel with some 60 or 70 series RWL tires on mine.
