Water Anyone?
The CDC Ducktail shown below was on my car when I bought it last October. Each time I open my trunk I can hear a good amount of water trapped inside the spoiler and it never goes away. Any suggestions?

Nice ride!
On all of my body add ons I taped off between the peice and the body itself and ran a bead of black silacone using a plastic putty spreader to fill in any gaps all the way around to prevent what happend to you. For the water already trapped in the trunk panel you may have to drill a small hole in then fill it after the moister has had time to exscape. Good Luck.

The car looks great and love the stripes...any reason why it doesn't go down all the way in the back? The water issue...sounds like there is a place where it is getting in but cant get out....maybe some drain holes in the bottom areas where the tape is? anyone>help this guy out?

MYGT500, Thanks for the compliments. I took my time choosing just the right color for the stripes. They are not just your typical silver. At one point, I had 4 different sample colors stuck to my hood for a week so I could see how they looked in different lighting conditions. Finally, I selected this pewter color. I kept debating about bringing the stripes all the way down the rear bumper but since they are vinyl they would have to go AROUND the license plate area as opposed to wrapping inside like painted stripes do. I may decide later to bring them down all the way but for now they look good enough. I could drill a hole in the underside of the spoiler as a drain I just wonder how large of a diameter it would have to be? Too small and I don't think the water would actually drain. Maybe I'll have to start with a small hole and increase slowly.
