Default MGW Shifter Question

I got a question for everyone with the shifter. I've had it in for abotu a year and it's a great shifter. I have it adjusted to the shortest throws (I think it's ten turns), and it has been great. Just today I noticed that while in neutral, the shifter moves foward and back about 1/8"-1/4". I know this has not been the case up until now. I lifted up the boot up and the little clamp/block is very tight on the part coming out of the tranny and the clamp tot he shift **** rod is also very tight. I think the rod coming straight out of the tranny is getting loose. Is this where the shift stop kit comes into play? Anyone else have this happen to them? Hope all this makes sense.

I've had mine for over a year too. It's still solid but if I felt some play I would get under car and retighten the linkage as well as checking the handle. I don't see something as well engineered as the MGW having an internal problem. Has to be linkage. Unless a poly bushing has split or something.
