Redline woops..... sit and wait time
So, my stupid shaker 500 blaring, not paying attention to my tach, when I want to jam on the car to get my fix otw home right?
Well, I couldnt hear the engine, and I wasnt watching when I missed my shift to second.
Ummm, did you know there is a kill/govenor? (I think) because the engine dropped RPM's immediately!
So I pull over and check everything. Shes running, no smoke out of the tail, and I drove home like grandma because I punked out! LOL
So, dear mustang gods.....
Did I damage anything....or shall I be punished?

That happened to me once. I have an auto, but wanted to manually shift from first. I was at a light, it turned green and i took off. The music was too loud and I forgot to put it in second. It hit the rev limiter and instead of bouncing like it used to, it felt like the engine died. In less than half a second, you go from 6250 rpms to 500. Very embarrassing. but everything is fine.

Yep, the default value is 6250 RPM. I've hit mine a few times when it was at 6250. I've even hit it since I lowered it from 6800 (Brenspeed's default setting) to 6500 RPM. These engines can take it, no problem.

I've got a limiter, but it's never done that. There have been twice that my pedal has gotten stuck on my floor mat, but I immediately clutch-in. It'll just sit there and bounce off the limiter, never had it drop like that. Maybe if the clutch isn't engaged it won't do it?
