Default DASH RATTLE PEOPLE CHIME IN

hi guys i have noticed that a popular rattle occurs near the drivers side a pillar and the upper dash board. My dash rattles uncontrolably there. I removed the a pillar cover and that was no the problem. My problem is a rattle/squek coming from the driver side dash up near the windshield. It is driving me crazy, if i press down on the dash it stops. Does anyone know how to remove the upper dash board by the windshield? Thanks guys, this is really driving me crazy!

I don't think its easy to remove the dash, I stopped several rattles with felt, you could try folding a piece over a credit card or putty knife & slide it in there. There is also a thread somewhere on here with rattles & fixes.

I had the same rattle.I stoped mine by stuffing a small strip of black rubber down between the seam. Can't see it and the rattle has been gone for years.

What seam? Between the pillar and the dash or the windshield and the dash?

+1, and how do you get it to stay in place? i'd figure the filler stuff would fall or slide out of place

Technical Service Bulletin. They are aware of the problem and have a fix.

As far as taking out the dash, you can start by just pulling the cover off from around the speedo/tach. I know that just pops out. I just did that when my carbon fiber dash kit was getting stuck in the wrong places and when I tried to pull it off, took the whole thing out with it. It just snaps out and in. You might get access that way.

Oh. And check your sunglasses clip. I fixed one rattle I was having trouble finding by putting my sunglasses in the center console.

you mean just lift up on the dash cover, only pull up on it and it comes off?

No lifting up. The plastic that surrounds the gauges. The chrome strips are attached to it as is the left most vent, comes straight out. There are like 6 clips that fit into holes that hold it in. You might have to tilt your steering wheel to get it to come completely out.
