If your going to do all the work it would take to get to the firewall, just take your seats and carpet out to and do the whole care with a couple layers of dynamat or damplifier.

How hard is it to apply dynamat? Do you just pretty much take apart the car and stick it everywhere?

deekum1627 03-22-2009 08:20 PM

yea it just sticks on

I spent about 3 weeks working on the weekends laying dynamat down underneath the rear seat, around the fuel pump access grommets, and around the rear passenger windows. It is easy as long as you take your time. I would recommend installing the dynamat on a warm day. I did it on cold days and my thumbs were black and blue from kneeding it down, on a warmer day the dynamat is much more ductile. Look at the DIY on the sticky

IMO. its not really worth it unless your going to go all out. In which case the materials to do it properly will net you over $500 easy. Closer to a 1000$. I would just leave it alone and spend your money else where.
