If you're going IC the saleens seem to be the best deal versus the IC vortech.

After doing the math on brenspeed's site, assuming you pay them for the install, the twin screw stage 3 IC saleen is $600-650 more than the vortech w/IC.

To me that seems like the twin screw would be worth the extra money there.

Going non IC though and the vortech seems like the best bang for the buck.

Few notes:

With Saleen going out (sad) I may rethink them. Would hate to have a SC ($5000) and get no support

I would like to do a STB and with the Vortech no worries. The Vortech is cheap and you can up grade it - a plus.

Kennebell?

Whipple FTW.

Love mine and it makes great power.

I wasnt trying to talk someone out of a Saleen just curious how it affected things. I am sure if you purchased through brenspeed they would warranty it.

Speaking of whipple. What's the best place to pick up a non IC version? The FRPP site is outrageous.

+1 I read a posted article saying the same that Saleen is no longer honoring any previous or implied warranties. If the seller does not grant you one then it is an AS IS sale. Buyer beware. Sorry for the bad news.

get what you want. look into which stage you really want because every time you upgrade to will cost more and more. i started with the 435 kit it was a joke then went to the saleen stage 3 loved it. now i went to the stage 4 and the super shaker LOVE IT. just take your time and have things thought out first. good luck

The Saleen vs the Vortech IC kit are really two different experiences in power delivery though. Its not really an apples to apples comparison...

Lethal lists the non-IC Whipple for right around $5000. That is way too much IMHO. It puts out the same or less power than the $3800 Vortech non-IC, and is the same price as the Paxton HO running $4995 and putting out 460-480rwhp.

The Whipple units are real nice, but they priced themselves out of the market with that last price hike IMO. I'd buy the Saleen if I were going twin screw today. Had the non-IC Whipple been around $4000, I'd have seriously considered it...
