alright guys...exhaust issues. How to make it louder??
I know how to make this car deafening- but it's too raspy and I don't think sounds good.
I have Bassani x pipe with high flow cats and right now I've got 14" mufflers [glasspack type] in front of the rear axle like pypes mid-mufflers. It sounds good, but what do I do to get some more sound. I don't want it TOO loud [like before] but something in between. I know the easiest/quickest would be to take off the cats...but I can't be illegal. Especially since my inspection is coming up this next month and even after that, I can't afford the risk or ticket. ANY ideas would be appreciated! What would shorty headers do for me? |
headers will make it louder that all you can do really
|
SLP loudmouths maybe...?

pro chamber and SLP loudmouths..

When I put on Bassani Longtubes, it didn't any louder. The tone changed. I got more hp, and better marks on the but dyno. But I wouldn't do headers for sound.

S. L. P. I'm thinking the cats are killing too much, but I can't take them off. I wonder if there are any resonators that don't have the ribbings/raised edges on the inside that the glasspack style does... |
i would do headers that will help since you dont wanna change your exhaust

you could change the glasspacks to a resonator. the resonators that have no packing material in them. unlike the glasspacks, so should be louder.

With high flow cats and no mufflers, this car is still loud. I'm wondering if just resonators would tone it down and help with backpressure, but not allow all the sound back... Where do I find a resonator that doesn't have the glasspack design? |
