cervini side scoop install - questions
I'm hoping some body guys, ie pascal, read this and can help me out. I bought some cervini sidescoops and dropped them off a week or so ago to get painted. Well they just called me and said $125 for the paint. Cool, i can deal with that. So i asked them how much for them to install them. They proceed to tell me that the dont like using 3m tape that they will be using a new 3m adhesive thats about $40 a tube so for the adhesive and them to install them they quote me and additional $125. I was rather shocked. Is it just me or is that really high? The whole reason i asked them about doing the install is that when i held them up to the car before they were painted i noticed they didnt sit real flush in some spots and was told that they sometimes need heated to conform to the body lines. Anyone have experience at all with this and provide some insight on what i should do? Thanks

3M tube adhesive?!?!?!
It's windshield material dude.
You don't want to go that route and have goo on your quarter panels
It seems to me that the shop had bad experience with this product and they want to cover their butts this time around.
I have had this attitude with the CDC aggressive chin for exemple...
They fit like sh#t and I charge $200 for install with no guarantees of perfect fit.
Sorry, but I won't be responsible for parts that just aren't worth a cr@p.
I get screwed the first time only... I have now a list of parts I won't install/paint.
The CDC aggressive chin is one of them

I put my cervini side scoops on over a year ago using the 3m tape. took maybe 10 minutes
I removed them 2 weeks ago to have them repainted, had to use fishing line to remove
them they were stuck so good

my freind got is cervini side scoops and window scoops done with the 3M tape, then a freind totaled it while the owner was gone so i did the owner a fav and got the scoops off so when he gets a new mustang they could replace them, trust me, the 3M tape help well enough, it was a bitch to get it off...
