GT500 chin spoiler install question
#12
i don't know if it would help any, but i cut off part of the top of the raised middle section of the splitter and mine fits near perfect now; there is still a little bit of a sag in the same area you are talking about, but not enough to cause concern
how high is it screwed in on the inner fender well? it almost looks like you need to raise it higher (if that makes sense)

I've personally installed 2 GT500 chin spoilers and they have always fit flush under the GT bumper. The only thing that I had to do was add (2) additional screws/lag bolts (1 on each side) under the chin spoiler and into the bottom of the bumper to draw the chin spoiler up, so it didn't look like it was sagging.

In the inner fender well the top screw matches the top screw already there. (if that made any sense)
I don't understand it either.... I'll take pics of the fender well if I remember when I get home.

huh... that looks a whole lot better than what i thought it would. how exactly did you put the molding on (i may do the same thing to cover my gap )?

I pretty much just stuck it in there and screwed through the chin spoiler, through the rubber, and into the bumper. To make for a clean fit at the ends of the bumper (by the wheel wells), I did have to cut the rubber at an angle.
