FWIW, the CAI is only 15-20% of the performance gain of a CAI & tune combo and ANY of the top CAI's; C&L, JLT, Steeda, etc.; will perform equally well PROVIDING you have a decent tune to go with it. The only critical parameter as far as the CAI is concerned is the inlet size so ANY company that provides a tune should be able to do at least a half-azzed job tuning for it. Bama and Brenspeed are 2 of the best. But you already knew that...

I'd have to disagree with the above statement based on an article I read on the internet where they tested tons of different Intakes. The C&L Street and JLT were on there, with the JLT barely beating the C&L but compared to the other intakes it was a pretty big difference. I think there is more to it since in the above example it'd be the same tuner making all the changes...

I've been wrong before though...

Bama tuned mine and the reason why I picked that one cause it was the only one on the market with a nice isolation from the engine bay.

I talked to Justin at JPC yesterday, and the above summarizes exactly what he said! I did ask him about that recent article of the 07 stock gt with bullitt CAI and no other mods, except his tune...he said all he did was adjust the shift points on the automatic, until it ran a high 12 stock!!!! also, his tune covers a lot of parameters that he explained to me very well....he uses 30 degrees of timing on a stock 3v
