I agree KLO. Honestly I would love to get the Kooks or ARH. But the price is just insane. They need to come down at least $300 before it's worth it.

thats why all companies should just use either a string of the same letters..such as AAA .. or a single letter.. very original... then you can't get a bad reputation with just your name.. unless your F since F is failure.. and Ford's stock symbol.. hmm....

I'm running Mac longtubes because I got them as soon as I bought the car 3 years ago, but the issue is with my hood blanket which I stuffed a dynamat hood liner under that quieted my engine down about 30% so I could hear my exhaust. It was effective but now I need to lower the engine or it will keep making this nasty hole in the hood liner.

With the American Racing0 longtubes, they are by far the best sounding headers. I've heard them on 6 or 7 different cars and they always sound good, and
I'm fabing my own exhaust and I've done my research and heard all of them in doing so. If I didn't already have headers I'd get those. Unfortunately they are a product that "You get what you pay for" Not in terms of being built "better" but in that they deserve to cost what they do. It's sad because it would be better for people and more profitable I beleive if they were priced lower.

Mac Longtubes cost $443 for the same workmanship as the $920 ARH.

im going to call the people at JDM to finalize my decision

As for me, I ordered those Boost Brothers LT's off of eBay for $245 shipped. I could take the $800 I saved and put it into a plate nitrous system, or some other bolt-ons.

your right in a sence...... but I think your confused about my post Im not telling anybody to go fork out the wad for those brands but lately there have been alot of issues with **** rubbing wth the cheaper LT and there has been fitiment issues with alot of them all along and the expensive ones are not the brands been mentioned . In the end the headache of it all ends up costing you just as much and twice as much time.....all I said is that it dont seem so bad anymore paying the extra without the headaches. Time is a expensive thing for some and for some people loosing 2 hours off of work been back and fourth to a shop cost them more then the price of ARH......

Think you misunderstand my sponsorship aswell I in no way have any personal feelings with or for ARH. Business is business and if I didnt get them for free I wouldnt have headers and If I did have headers I would either have bbk or the macs because it was only going to cost me $250 to get them installed and the first thing J @ real street asked me was what brand they were becuse that had alot to do with the price wich varied from the 250 and has gone as high as $600

and for the record I didnt just get them tossed into my lap I took them instead of a % of $$$$ I was been paid and no way in hell would I pay the money they want for them.

Haha Tomb, I take back what I said then. I see what you're saying with time getting costly. I guess from my perspective, in which I install things, a few hours heating and denting a tube is worth the 800 saved. People who can afford ARH, go ARH, people who can't, there ARE alternatives.

So how do you go about heating and denting the tube anyway?
